These conditions explain how booking a trip with Morocco My Trip works. They apply to our ready-made tours and to private trips we plan for you.
How booking works
- You ask. Send the enquiry form, an email or a WhatsApp message with your dates, the number of travellers and the trip you'd like.
- We plan and price it. We reply with a day-by-day plan and a price for your dates and your group, usually within a few hours and always within 24.
- You confirm. Your trip is booked once you confirm the plan in writing and we confirm it back.
Prices
Prices are given on request, for your dates and your group. Each quote lists what is included and what is not, and that list is part of your booking.
We quote in euros (EUR). You can also pay the balance in Moroccan dirhams (MAD) at the day's exchange rate.
Deposit and payment
- Deposit: 30% of the trip price, paid within 7 days of confirming, by bank transfer. We send the payment details in writing with your confirmation. Your booking is secure once the deposit arrives.
- Balance: the remaining 70%, paid in cash (euros or dirhams) on the first day of the trip, or by bank transfer at least 14 days before you arrive.
- For bookings made less than 14 days before the trip, the deposit is due straight away.
- Bank fees for international transfers are paid by the sender.
Changes to your trip
Ask us if you would like to change your dates, add a night or change the route, before or during the trip. We will tell you if the change affects the price before anything is changed.
Changes requested more than 15 days before the trip are free, as long as hotels, camps and drivers are available. Closer to the date, we will do our best and tell you about any extra cost before making the change.
If you cancel
Please tell us in writing, by email or WhatsApp. The date we receive your message is the date of cancellation.
- More than 30 days before the trip: everything you paid beyond the deposit is refunded. The deposit is not refunded, but you can move it to new dates within 12 months.
- 30 to 15 days before: 50% of the total trip price is kept.
- Less than 15 days before, or no-show: the full price is kept.
- Days you choose not to use once the trip has started are not refunded.
This is one reason we recommend travel insurance that covers cancellation.
If we have to change or cancel
- If we have to cancel your trip for reasons within our control, you get a full refund of everything you paid.
- If weather, a road closure or a safety problem makes part of the route impossible (for example snow on a mountain pass), we change the route to keep you safe and as close to the plan as we can. If a part of the trip cannot happen at all, we refund the services you did not use, minus costs we have already paid and cannot recover.
Travel insurance
Travel insurance is not included in our trips. We strongly recommend a policy that covers medical care, repatriation and cancellation for the whole of your trip.
Passports, visas and health
Each traveller is responsible for having a valid passport, any visa needed for Morocco, and any vaccinations or medicines they need. Official advice, such as the UK Foreign Office entry requirements for Morocco (opens in a new tab) and the US State Department Morocco page (opens in a new tab), is the best place to check the rules for your passport. Tell us about any health condition or mobility need that could affect the trip, so we can plan around it.
